The assistant is a helper for one job at a time. It reads what you write, uses the tools your organization's systems offer, and shows you what happened.

## What it can do

- **Use your organization's systems, as you.** Every step is made with your own sign-in, so your organization's usual permissions apply. If you could not do it yourself, the assistant cannot do it for you.
- **Show its work.** Each step leaves a quiet gray line in the chat, such as *Found 2 customers* or *Added R-20417 to the ticket*. Tap one to see the details.
- **Draw results as cards.** A list of customers with **Select** buttons, an item with its photo and tag price, an offer's decision, a receipt. Some card buttons act at once, without waiting for the assistant.
- **Prepare anything, commit nothing on its own.** It can fill a ticket, price a layaway or draft an offer. Anything that cannot be undone waits for your tap. See Confirmation cards (AS-2).

## What it can't do

- **Go beyond its streamline.** Each streamline has its own set of tools, chosen by whoever set it up. Register cannot approve offers; Approvals cannot take payments.
- **See your secrets.** Card numbers, ID numbers and passwords go through secure forms, straight to your organization's system. The assistant learns only the outcome. See Secure forms and secure views (AS-3).
- **Remember other chats.** It knows the chat it is in, nothing else.
- **Act while you are away.** It works only while you are in a chat, and only online.
- **Change the rules.** Prices, approvals, limits and policies are your organization's, enforced by its systems. The assistant can ask, but the system decides.

## It says what it did

The assistant reports what your organization's systems actually confirmed. A sale is submitted when the system says it is, and the chat's banner and status come from that answer, not from the assistant's words.

If you are not sure something happened, look at the activity lines and the overview: they show what the system holds.
