Streamlines your organization limits to its own networks, and what happens when you use one elsewhere
Your organization can limit a streamline to its own networks: the store's Wi-Fi, the office, a company VPN. Such a streamline carries a small On site only mark beside its name.
What it means
The streamline works only while your device is on one of the networks your organization allows. Your organization may allow its sites in general, or the particular sites you work at.
You can open an on-site-only streamline anywhere, and read its chats. What changes is sending: off those networks, your message is not passed to the assistant. Instead of a failure, the chat shows a calm notice in your organization's words, such as Approvals works only on the store network. Nothing you wrote reaches the AI service.
When you see the notice
- Join the store's or office's Wi-Fi, or connect to your company's VPN, and send again.
- Mobile data counts as off site, unless your company's VPN is on.
- If you are on site and still see it, the network may have changed. Tell your manager or IT team; they keep the list of allowed networks.
Why organizations use it
Some work should only happen on the premises: approving prices, opening the safe, changing payroll. The limit is checked by your organization's account on our servers, not by the app, so it holds wherever the device goes. Your organization's own systems may also check where requests come from.
The same manual ships inside the app. This section as Markdown
