The two layers — your organization's sign-in says who you are; connections sign you in to each system the assistant uses
In an organization, there are two kinds of sign-in, and they do different jobs.
1. Your organization's sign-in
This tells Streamliner who you are and which organization you belong to. It decides which streamlines you see. After you open an invite, the organization's page shows its logo, its name with its tagline (if it has one) and one way in:
- Sign in with Apple, where your organization allows it. Your Apple ID signs you in; no code to wait for. If your invite was sent to a different address than your Apple ID uses (for example when you choose Hide My Email), Streamliner asks once for a code sent to the invited address, then Sign in with Apple works on its own.
- Your work email. Type it, choose Send code, and enter the code from the email. It works for 10 minutes. Use another email starts again.
- Your organization's own username and password, if it signs in that way. Your password goes to your organization's system once and is never stored or shown to the assistant.
Owners and admins can always choose Admins and owners: sign in with Apple or email instead.
Staying signed in
Your sign-in renews itself quietly while you use the app. If it ends (it ran out after a long time away, or you signed this device out from another one), Streamliner signs out on this device, removes the organization's chats from it, and shows Sign in to your organization straight away: Your sign-in ended. Sign in again the way you did before. Sign in the way you did before; you don't need a new invite.
Signed-in devices
The Vault lists, under Signed-in devices, every device signed in to your organization as you, with how it signed in and when it was last seen (Settings → Accounts → This Session and Signed-in Devices opens it too). Sign Out next to another device ends its access at once. Sign Out Everywhere ends every session, this device's too. Streamliner keeps no location or network address for this list.
If the page says the organization signs in a way this version of the app can't do yet, the sign-in it uses is not supported in your version. Tell whoever sent the invite.
2. Connections, one per system
The assistant works in your organization's systems: a point of sale, a finance system, inventory. Each may need you to sign in to it separately. When you open the organization, Connect Your Accounts asks for any that are missing, once; if a session ends later, a sign-in card appears in the chat: Sign in to the back office. Sign in, and the assistant carries on from where it stopped. Nothing else in the chat happens meanwhile. See Signing in to your organization's systems (GS-8) and Sign-in cards (AS-4).
When your organization's sign-in and a system are the same, one sign-in covers both.
Where sign-ins are kept
Your sessions stay on this device, in its Keychain. They never go to the assistant and never sync to your other devices. Signing out of your organization removes its chats, sign-ins and setup from this device; your other accounts stay.
On this device (free), there is no organization sign-in at all. Your streamlines sign in to each MCP server the same lazy way, and the Vault lists them under Sign-ins, with a Sign Out for each. See The Vault (FR-5).
