The live summary of a chat's job — the ticket, the offer, the delivery — and where to find it
The overview is a live summary of the job in a chat, kept up to date as the job moves. In the demo's Register it is the sale ticket: the customer, the items with their photos and prices, any offer and its status, the total, payments, the balance and the sales rep. In Approvals it is the offer; in Receiving, the delivery.
It is fetched straight from your organization's system, not written by the assistant, so it shows what the system holds.
Where it appears
- Mac, and iPad in landscape: a panel docked to the right of the streamline's card, opened from the overview icon in the card's header (⌥⌘I on a keyboard). See The Mac window (MAC-1).
- iPad in portrait or Split View: the same panel, beside the one card on screen.
- iPhone: the overview button in the chat's header opens it as a sheet you can pull up, titled with the overview's name and the chat's title.
Not every streamline has an overview. If it has none, the button does not appear.
When it updates
The overview refreshes after each step that could have changed it. While something is pending, such as an offer waiting for a manager, it checks every few seconds, and when the decision lands, a notice appears in the chat: Marco countered at $4,500.
The chat's title comes from the overview, which is how a chat comes to be called Mrs Alvarez · $4,850.
